About Our Work

We are the founders of Awareness to Action International, a global consulting group dedicated to helping leaders, teams, and practitioners harness the power of the ATA Enneagram. Together, we developed the ATA Enneagram (based on Mario’s original work)—a practical, science-informed framework built for people who need insight that actually translates into results. We have a combined 50 years of experience working with leaders and their teams in multinational companies, government agencies, and organizations of all sizes across more than 20 countries, delivering programs in English and Spanish on five continents.

At the core of our work is a single conviction: most obstacles to effective action originate within us. Through the ATA Enneagram, we help individuals and teams recognize the non-conscious patterns of thinking, feeling, and behavior that limit effectiveness—and take concrete steps to change them. Whether coaching C-suite executives, training coaches and consultants, or facilitating a team program across cultures and time zones, our goal is the same: help people see more clearly, grow authentically, and live and lead skillfully.

What We Offer

Executive Coaching

We work individually with senior leaders across industries and cultures to identify the habitual patterns that limit their effectiveness—and to develop the self-awareness and behavioral agility needed to lead at the next level. Our coaching is grounded in the ATA Enneagram and shaped by decades of experience in high-stakes organizational environments. Each engagement is tailored to the individual’s context, goals, and specific developmental needs. Coaching is available in English and Spanish.

ATA Certification Program

Our three-level certification program is designed for coaches, consultants, HR professionals, and organizational practitioners who want to apply the ATA Enneagram in professional settings. Level 1 covers the foundations: the nine strategies, three instinctual biases, 27 subtypes, and the Awareness to Action Process. Level 2 deepens the work through the nine Core Qualities and Accelerators. Level 3 focuses on the ATA competency framework and designing interventions for individuals and teams. All three levels are delivered through a combination of live sessions and pre-recorded content available through the Enneagram OnDemand platform (soon to be ATAOnline.com)

Personalities@Work

Personalities@Work is our flagship organizational program for teams that want to use the Enneagram to improve communication, collaboration, and performance. The program helps participants understand how personality strategies and instinctual biases shape behavior in organizational settings, and equips them with practical tools for working more effectively with the full range of personalities they encounter. Sessions are available in virtual and in-person formats and can be customized to address specific team dynamics and challenges.

ATA Teams

ATA Teams is a comprehensive team development program that goes beyond conventional team-building by addressing the deeper behavioral and relational patterns that drive team dynamics. The program blends one-on-one coaching with group instruction to create sustainable alignment between team members, organizational goals, and execution strategies. Through the ATA Enneagram framework, leaders gain insight into the instinctual biases and personality strategies shaping how their team functions—and learn to leverage those differences rather than simply manage around them.

Clear Thinking for Leaders

Clear Thinking for Leaders is a program designed to help leaders overcome the cognitive biases, personality filters, and cultural blind spots that undermine good decision-making in complex environments. Drawing on the Awareness to Action Clear Thinking Model, the program helps leaders become more rigorous, curious, and creative in how they process information and reach conclusions. It is particularly well-suited for senior leaders and leadership teams navigating high-stakes decisions in volatile, uncertain, or rapidly changing conditions.

About Mario and María José

Mario Sikora and María José Munita

Mario Sikora is an executive coach, leadership development consultant, and pioneer in the theory and application of the Enneagram, with nearly 30 years of experience working with leaders across industries and cultures. He is the founder and CEO of Awareness to Action International and the creator of the ATA Enneagram—a practical, science-informed model designed to make the insights of the Enneagram immediately useful in business and organizational settings. Mario’s first encounter with the Enneagram in 1994 was a turning point: he recognized its potential to describe human behavior with a depth no other model could match, but saw that the existing literature was ill-suited for the pragmatic, results-oriented world his clients inhabited. He spent the next three decades developing and refining an approach grounded in behavioral science, clear thinking, and real-world application.

María José Munita is a leadership coach, organizational consultant, and Enneagram expert with extensive experience working with executives and leadership teams across Latin America, North America, Europe, and the Middle East. She is Partner and Vice President of Awareness to Action International and serves as President of ATA for the Americas. Before dedicating herself to coaching and consulting full-time, María José built a career as a senior executive in multinational corporations—bringing an insider’s understanding of organizational pressures and decision-making demands to her work. She joined Mario in developing and evolving the ATA Enneagram in 2010, and has been central to its growth and application across the Americas and beyond ever since. Known for her directness, genuine empathy, and dry sense of humor, she creates the kind of trust that makes even the most demanding self-examination productive.

Mario and Maria Jose are both former presidents of the International Enneagram Association (IEA) and honored as Accredited Professionals with Distinction the IEA. Together, they have worked with Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and organizations across more than 30 countries, delivering programs in multiple languages on five continents. They have trained thousands of coaches, consultants, and HR professionals through the ATA Certification Program.

Mario has written or co-authored four books on the Enneagram: “Awareness to Action: The Enneagram, Emotional Intelligence, and Change” (with Robert Tallon); “The Notes and the Melody;” “The Enneagram Guidebook” (with María José); and “Instinctual Leadership” (with María José). Their work continues to evolve through ongoing research, writing, and the development of a global ATA practitioner community.
